The decision regarding fixtures this saturday coinciding with the England World Cup Quarter-Final is as follows:

There will be no mutual concede of games or rearrangement.

CAPTAINS speak with the opposition captain to agree a mutual decision.
This could be start early or start after the football. Reduced overs before the game, watch football, then continue the game.
In div A-C you need to take in to account the panel umpires.
Minimum overs for a Div A-C game is 30 overs whilst Div D and below is 20 overs.
If a mutually agreed decision can not be met, the game must then go ahead as normal starting at 1pm.
Good luck to you all and England.

From Dennis Wright.
All Club League Representatives,

Following the recent Presentations of the MCC New Laws of Cricket I hereby need to make you aware of the only New Law which will not be applied to all teamsin our League this season.

New Law 19.1.2 states "The boundary shall be determined such that no part of any sight-screen will, at any stage of the match, be within the field of play."

This Law is obviously to be adhered to if your playing area allows room for the sight-screens to be outside.

However, on smaller grounds where one or both sight-screens have to be within the boundary the sight-screens the New Law above will not apply and matches will be played as they have been played in the past.

It is always best if white painted boards can be situated along the front of the sight-screens acting as the boundary.

I hope your club will have an enjoyable season playing within the Code of Conduct and Spirit of Cricket (Page44) which have a greater emphasis than ever before under the New Laws (particularly Laws 41 & 42).
