“Pack up’s the trouble for Bottesford”
Rye Cafe & Bar Division A
Kyle Van Niekerk 71*, Ammar Khan 42* & Zaheer Rahman 3-33 gave Gedling Colliery 127-0 a valuable win over Collingham 126-9 which moves them out of the bottom two places, taking their place are Long Eaton 145-9 who could only manage a losing draw as Tim Taylor hit 74 whilst for the victors Hoveringham 219-6 it was the pair of Stuart Walton 90 and Hamish Moore with 81 who helped them to an impressive total. Champions Attenborough 127-5 recorded an easy home win over Ellerslie 126-10 in which once again Byron Haycock 62* & Ben Bharbra 4-25 both starred. Zaheer Ahmed 45 and Khial Mohammad 4-31 were the star performers for Hyson Green CC 169-9 in their winning draw over Belvoir 139-6 for whom Ryan Lewis 54, Greg Oldfield 44 & 3-75 and Danny Gibson 5-38 also produced fine individual performances. Balderton’s home game with Wollaton was a victim of the heavy rainfall earlier in the day
200 Degrees Coffee Division B
Attenborough 153-7 took another step closer to promotion as they gained maximum points when defeating Kimberley 152-8 with Martin Shoemaker top scoring with 48. Dan Mierkhans with 63 and Gary Clarke 42 helped Caythorpe to 220-7 but the Neil Gregory hit a glorious 127* and assisted by Shaun Stocks 43 & 4-40 it helped Eastwood 221-4 to fine home win at The Breach. Plumtree 162-6 remain in the promotion places and were thankful for the 80 from S Basmi as they squeezed home by three wickets defeating Calverton 162-6. Although James Morrow hit 70 it was not enough to save Thurgarton 150-7 from defeat and also relegation as Clifton 151-6 ran out winners with plenty of overs to spare, with Brad Moore returning figures of 4-37 in his sides win. Nadeem Ghani 77 & Arslan Shah 5-32 helped Nott’s Unity Casuals 228-6 to a winning draw over West Bridgfordians 179-8 for whom Alistair Pettit 63 and Kwesi Spencer helped gain the valuable bonus points.
Rothera Dowson Division C
Bramcote 151-10 had both Khalid Rehman 66 and Alex Bullivant 6-10 giving their survival chances no harm at all as they gained a winning draw over Keyworth 115-8. Southwell 204-5 (dec) handed out another defeat upon bottom of the table Bottesford 173-10 with Richard Andrew returning the best figures of the day with 3-20. The top two met and it was Kirkby Portland 225-7 who ran out victors with Connor Fleming 69 and 44 from Brett Jones that enabled them to chase down Wollaton’s 224-4 in which Sunil Sharma 63*, Alex Youngman 58* & Nicholas Kirkwood 51 made contributions although they still have a game in hand on the leaders and are fourteen points adrift. Beeston & Toton Sycamore’s game was called off early Saturday morning due to rain.
Rex Gooding Division D
Pete Hudson hit an unbeaten 92* but Hucknall 134-10 slipped to a first loss of the season and missed a chance to clinch the title when they were defeated by Ellerslie 163-8 with man of the match Taimoor Safdar 39* and 4-22 causing the damage. Farndon 50-2 took full advantage with a straight forward win over relegated Sutton Bonnington 49-10 as Jack Goode took 3-14. Rain prevented Gedling & Sherwood closing on the leaders as their game at Underwood was yet another victim of the weather and agonisingly the home side are relegated in the process. N Benson with 56 guided Gedling Colliery 140-6 to an away win over Collingham 139-10 for whom Andrew Shaw took 4-28. The innings from Peter Playle of 60 helped Hickling 165-7 to an away win over West Bridgfordians 164-5 despites John Grimes recording a fine 51 earlier in the afternoon.
Trophy Master Division E
An undefeated 81* from C Freeman cemented the promotion push for Bingham 165-3 in the home win over Lenton & Willoughby 163-5 despite half centuries from M Ware 51 & J Newham 52. Sam Penford 92, Olly Elson 61 & Jamie Gilbertson with 53 were all in fine form as Belvoir 246-4 gained a comfortable home win over Nott’s Unity Casuals 106-10. Abass Abid 96* top scored for Basford Mill 195-4 in a fine away win over Kirkby Portland 130-7. Eastwood were unable to raise a side for the third time this season and in due course handed Plumtree the title. Newark R & M’s game at home to East Bridgford was washed out without a ball being bowled.
GB Bookkeeping Division F
In the clash of the top two it was Ruddington 155-9 who were celebrating as Sharad Naheem 4-22 & Kamaran Rasheed 3-34 bowled them to victory over East Leake 109-10 despite the efforts from Rob Peatman 59 & 3-45, the victors now just need to win next week to secure the title. Raja Majid 81 and Moheen Halder 5-11 gave Gotham 171-10 a much needed win over Fiskerton 65-10. Although it was a low scoring match the game went down to the wire as Whatton & Aslockton 102-10 ran out winners by four runs over Caunton 98-10 with 4 wicket hauls from Ben Gregory 4-42, Jamie Lambourne 4-24 and Alex Rose 4-7. Wymeswold 227-6 inflicted a heavy defeat upon Burton Joyce 122-10 as Harry Bowley hit 88 and James Lewis took 5-12.
BLCS Division G.
A devastating spell of 6-18 from John Pack backed up by 48* from Tony Cuthbert helped Long Eaton 98-1 to a routine away win over relegation threatened Bottesford 97-10. Tom Holmes turned in a match winning 53 plus 5-26 as Kinoulton 140-8 ran out winners over Ravenshead119-10 for whom Pete Smith took 5-31. Calverton 231-8 with S Andrew top scoring with 57 ran out winners by just four runs in an entertaining match against Lowdham 227-8. Mark Walsh 68 and Steve Moore 5-26 helped deliver a resounding away win for Beeston & Toton Sycamore 138-4 when they came away winners over Young Lions 137-10.
Central College Division H
A magnificent 146 from B Johnson inspired Woodborough 216-7 to vital win as they then bowled out Keyworth for 112 as P Bennett took 4-10 and give them hope of avoiding the drop. Gedling Colliery 68-7 had the pair of Zeeshan Iqbal 40 & Lee Gomersall 3-5 set up their team’s victory over Chilwell 64-10. Peter Bateman finished unbeaten on 63* as Attenborough 123-3 also gained a vital win over fellow relegation contenders Hucknall 120-5 for whom Jack Pates hit 55. The trio of Lewis Lambert 49, Sam Ross 49 & Andrew Smith 57* were all influential in the win for Balderton 214-6 as they returned home victorious over Gedling & Sherwood 176-8. 89* from Nazakat Ali keeps Hyson Green CC 120-1 at the summit of the table with a convincing home win over Southwell 114-7.
Carlton Car Centre Division J
K Leggatt 46*, Steve Kennedy 45 and 3-21 from Richard Wells 3-41 gave Cotgrave 182-6 victory over Hoveringham 172-7 who themselves were indebted from the contributions by Rasid Actar 57 and Jon Pears 67. Ricky Martin with 4-22 backed up by Chris Graham 3-18 helped Oxton 117-6 to a home win over Bramcote 111-9. A final ball thriller saw West Bridgfordians 150-6 force a tie with home side Clifton 150-10 with B Mead 48 and R Zeeshan 4-33 topping the runs and wickets totals. Akshay Kumar hit 63 for Thurgarton in their total of 182-8 but visitors Madni 185-5 eased home with just over four overs to spare thanks to Karthick 42 and Kashif Sardar 41. Stapleford 29-0 raced to promotion after demolishing Newark R & M 28-10 with Andrew Pearson taking 5-10.
King Stone Products Division K
The top two sides switch positions as Ruddington 152-6 grabbed the vital win over Ellerslie 118-9 with Eddie Storr 66, Joe Smith 43* & Rob Derry 5-29 providing the ammunition. Ben Crouch hit a superb 114 in Kimberley’s 205-6 and home side Caythorpe fell well short in reply being restricted to only 88-8 in reply. Thrumpton 82-4 controlled most of their home game against Poplars 81-10 as Dominic Thelen 43*, Usman Hameed 5-11 & Nick Proverbs 4-18 were all in excellent end of season form. D Watson with 74 top the scoring chart as Wollaton 189-9 ran out comfortable winners over Lenton & Willoughby 135-10. Wayne Simpson with 4-21 bowled Basford Old Boys 89-5 to a win over neighbours Basford Mill 88-10.
Oracle Property Finance Ltd Division L
Great Dalby 141-0 clinched promotion with a convincing ten wicket away win over Chilwell 140-10 as both Luke Harrison 76* & Harry Wells 57* and 3-26 starred. Radcliffe on Trent 134-7 had a well-deserved away win at Attenborough 85-10 with both Josh Mills 48 and Qundeel Halder 4-19 in fine form. J Dawn top scored for Lowdham 102-3 in his side’s home win over Kirkby Portland 89-10. Tony Williams 73 and Daniel Pike 63 both batted well to enable Collingham to a winning total of 230-9 in the home win over Underwood 205-8 despite a magnificent 113* from B Brown and 4-39 by E Carlton.
Robert Whowell & Partners Division M
A glorious 111* from Pete Shaw was the highlight as Wymeswold 185-2 strode home to victory over visitors Whatton & Aslockton 184-5. East Bridfgord 202-4 handed out a heavy defeat upon Newark R & M 42-10 as D Fowkes 56*, C Fowkes 51 and Ameer Shah 3-10 all performed with credibility on the day. Matt Fifoot hit a match winning 67 as Hucknall 171-4 returned home with the win over hosts Nottingham Deaf 151-9. Caash Kotze bowled Nott’s & Arnold 119-10 to a home win over Bingham 69-10. Rain prevented any play in the title decider between Belvoir and Old Dalby.

Simon Phoenix top scored with 48 to assist Keyworth to a score of 114-5 but champions West Bridgfordians 118-2 showed no mercy as they raced home with matt Davis hitting 50*. Raj Shandiliya 56*and Thomas Rhoades with 4-7 helped West Bridgford Legion 93-5 to a home win over Burton Joyce 92-10 for whom Gareth Johnson had top scored with 47 earlier in the afternoon.
