Rye Cafe & Bar Division A
An unbeaten 111* from Martin Shoemaker helped Attenborough 207-6 to a winning draw against Belvoir 182-9 at the Strand. Patrick Gada hit 53 in Carrington’s total of 165-10 in which Dan Footit 3-29 & Peter Vladev 4-34 were both in fine form with the ball as Ellerslie 167-0 cruised home with openers Hamish Moore 78* and Suman Shrestha 50* in dominating form. Collingham 213-9 blew the title race wide open when taking a winning draw over leaders Wollaton 129-7 as the trio of Fahad Ul Haq 86, David Pipes 46 & Lee Fazackerley 4-22 forced them onto the back foot despite the best efforts of Mustafa Iqbal 49 & 5-60. Balderton 129-2 completed an easy eight wicket win away at Gedling Colliery with Sajad Homyoon 43*, Chris Dobbie 59, Dan Pinfold 3-26 & Raza Khan 3-30 all chipping in with contributions. Matt Dean 55 and Ben Buckley 89 helped Kimberley 240-5 chase down Plumtree’s score of 237-6 in which Steve James top scored with a fine 79.
200 Degrees Coffee Division B
5-67 from Brinsley Kirkham turned out to be the match defining performance to enable Calverton 197-7 to pull clear of title rivals Clifton 196-10. Stephen Dockrell 96 guided Eastwood to a competitive total of 228-10 but in reply Kirkby Portland 231-7 closed out the win with five balls to spare as Sandeep Chauhan 41 & 4-65 starred with both bat and ball. Brett Scothern with 53 took Long Eaton to a score of 179-9 and in reply Nott’s Unity 182-5 were victorious as Shaharyar Aslam 57, Ajaz Riaz 48* & Tariq Mahmood 5-26 all featured in the win. A nervy finish saw Carrington 151-8 take maximum points with A Arshad 58 & D Bazmi taking 4-22 to close the gap on opponents Southwell 150-10. Both Benn Lee 116* & Mark Melbourne 5-51 will be pleased with their days work as they helped Hoveringham 210-7 to a win over Wollaton 162-10.
Rothera Sharp Division C
Dhruv Shahl hit 56 to enable Keyworth to a respectable 207-8 and then the bowling attack of Mackenzie Shepherd 4-30, Andy Hiller 3-6 & Dom Steiner 3-37 tore into the opposition as Beeston & Toton crumbled to 74-10. Ben Shaw 91, Andrew Sharp 60 & 4-28 from Alastair Petit were the key components in the win for West Bridgfordians 293- 9 over Fiskerton/Thurgarton 141-9 for whom Aaman Singh took 6-72. Ahsan Raja 4-25 & 4-10 from Jonny Lawrence followed by a ten ball 39* Irfan Niazi saw Gedling & Sherwood 65-0 completely dominate in the home game against Farndon 61-10. Gotham 189-7 had Steve Howarth 74 & Paul Blatherwick taking 5-60 but Hucknall pulled off a fine win with Adam Scott 72* and Akif Farooq 55 & 4-56 starring. Although Chris Owen Jones took 5-67 it could not prevent Caythorpe from amassing 255-9 as Geoff Crook 52, Matt Daffin 51, Tom Hart 43 and then John Smith with 4-32 wrapped up an easy victory over Radcliffe on Trent 107-10.
Rex Gooding Division D
The innings of Andy Norris 62 that followed the spells of Jake Hutchinson 3-37 & Adam Wilson 3-46 were the pivotal features in Bottesford 151-6 gaining the home win over East Bridgford 147-10. Ian Robinson hit a fine 76 for Grantham 154-6 but still saw his side slip to defeat at the hands of visitors Gedling Colliery 157-4 with opener Simon Pettet scoring 77. Hickling 168-9 ran out victors by 24 runs with P Playle 42 & M Playle 4-26 both featuring whilst K Patel with 5-28 was the stand out performer for Bramcote 144-10 in his sides defeat. A Collins 44 & 5-46 proved to be the match winner for Bingham 176-5 in a fine away win over Plumtree 175-9.
Trophy Master Division E
Underwood 206-10 enjoyed a fine away win over Belvoir 196-5 with Tom Chalkley 58, Craig Smithurst 57* and M Lee 3-45 enforcing the win despite fine counterattacking displays from Jamie Gilbertson 54* & 3-27 and Alex Forbes 52. Craig Dury 3-32 along with Richard Andrew 3-29 both helped Newark R&M 109-2 to a thoroughly deserved win away at Caythorpe 106-10. M Aleem 60 & 4-13 stole the show as Nott’s Unity 169-10 ran out winners of struggling East Leake 145-10. Sutton Bonington 250-7 brushed aside opponents Kirkby Portland 80-10 with Timmy Berridge 51, Dave Appleby 64, Kieran Olsson 5-19 and Pat Hood 3-8 all in great form. Farhad Amin 5-22 and 45 once again showed his all-round ability as Ruddington 157-4 proved too strong for home side West Bridgfordians 156-10 at Stamford Road.
GB Bookkeeping Division F
Burton Joyce amassed 260-8 which contributed to an easy win over Caunton 111-10 with a quartet of creditable performances from Matthew Powroznyk 68, John Seymour 61, Ollie Cooper 54 & 3-23 and Andrew Folkes 3-24. Rob Pitman with 68 was once again his side’s top scorer as Wymeswold 209-10 had a 38 run home success over Lenton & Willoughby 171-10. Gotham were unable to raise a side in their home fixture against Basford Mill.
Bar Lane Community Sports Division G.
Shafiq Dad 49 and Zia Uddin Khan with 6-24 vied for the starring role as Carrington 207-6 ran out comfortable winners over Beeston & Toton 75-10. Baz Bailey 51 & 4-20, Jack Masters 3-47 and youngster Alex Burton (14yrs) 3-29 were all figuring in the home win for Gedling Colliery 173-9 against Fiskerton/Thurgarton 132-10. D Roper 53 and J Walters 5-25 helped West Bridgford Legion 200-8 record a deserved away win over Kinoulton 62-10. Blayne Riley 48, C Walters 93 and S Sidhu 6-44 were the contributions that enforced Kimberley 224-7 to a win that sees them reach the summit of the table.
Turner Violins Division H
In a tense finale Bottesford 145-8 ran out winners by 2 wickets as Mike Fowler hit 72 in the win over Attenborough 144-7 in which Rich Henson remained undefeated on 71*. Runs seemed in short supply so the 57 from A Melliman is an excellent return for Long Eaton 119-10 as his knock helped dispose of Chilwell 67-10. Sharat Kutty 42* & Saqib Shah 4-35 eased Clifton 164-10 to a home win over Gedling & Sherwood 114-10. The double act of Gordon Pearson 55* & Alan Pearson 4-15 were again topping the bill as Stapleford 109-5 ran out winners over visiting Southwell 107-10. Calverton were unable to raise a side against leaders Madni.
Carlton Car Centre Division J
Matt Etherington hit 66 to guide Hoveringham 170-5 to a home win over Cotgrave 167-10. Jack Pates with 36* and 4-9 from James Guthrie saw Hucknall 73-1 demolish opponents West Bridgfordians 72-10. Ady Cooper with 93* saw Basford Old Boys set a reasonable score of 179-5 but then Z Tudor 46* and L Brown 97* with an unbeaten second wicket partnership saw Keyworth 181-1 home to a fine win. Taimoor Tasnim with 51 & 4-25 starred in both disciplines for Ellerslie 204-10 in a fine away win at Oxton 117-10. Woodborough 164-5 enjoyed a fine away win over Ruddington with the help from J.Waterson 49, S.Adams 49 and S.Harrison 3-32.
King Stone Products Division K
50 from Norman Jowett and 44 from Chris Parkes sealed the win for Bramcote 212-9 against local rivals Attenborough 193-8 for whom C Knight hit the top score of the day with a gutsy 96. The local derby went the way of Collingham 227-8 as the quartet of D Dakin 78, A Scott 53, T Rich 43 and Hester Dakin (13 yrs old) 4-20 including a hat trick took them to the win over Farndon 161-10. Ben Turner took 6-33 for Kimberley 129-10 but they couldn’t get close to the score of 165 made by winners Great Dalby in which James Picker hit 48. An exceedingly strong set of performances gave an emphatic win for Wollaton 262-2 as David Watson 66, Nas Saleem 126, Zeeshan Iqbal 52* and Hazaif Latif 5-5 in the win over Newark R&M 111-10. Amba with 81* and H Baig 68 saw Poplars 215-3 run out winners over Caythorpe 213-8
Oracle Property Finance Ltd Division L
A final ball thriller saw the match tied between Basford Mill 186-10 & RHP 186-6 with Waqas Abid 89 top scoring whilst for RHP L Parker 73 and D Nicholson 5-24 starred. Bengal United 57-1 demolished Thrumpton 54-10 with bowlers Jahid Hasan 3-16, Shajjad Chowdhury 3-9 and Tareq Siddique 3-14 all delivering. East Bridfgord 82-6 stuttered across the winning line thanks to Ameer Shah 36 & 5-14 and Adnan Mehmood 3-22 in the win over Belvoir 79-10. Man of the match Nick Bennett 38 and 5-21 helped Chilwell 114-3 to a deserved away win over Radcliffe on Trent 112-10. J Mcgee 71* H Allen 3-28 and M Thorley 3-34 were the heroes for Underwood 178-3 in their home win over Old Dalby 172-10 in which R Herrick hit 61.
Robert Whowell & Partners Division M
An invaluable 55* from M Rees backed up the 6-22 by D Goodwin as Hucknall 89-7 nervously crossed the finishing line in a win over Bingham 85-10. G Johnson 57, L Johnson 4-36 and N West 3-19 were all instrumental in the win for Burton Joyce 165-8 over Kirkby Portland 123-9. Justin Graham with 45 & 4-16 helped Lowdham 164-10 to a home success over Nottingham Deaf 116-10. A fine century made by M Mathams 103* saw Wymeswold 179-10 return home victorious with the win over Nott’s & Arnold 117-10. Lambley 159-9 climb into second position with fine performances from Patrick Atkinson 58, Jim Brough 34 and Phil Bowles 4-34 as they inflicted defeat upon hosts West Bridgfordians 136-9.
Paul Grundell Division N
Ellerslie 102-2 romped to victory with Nadeem Akhtar 72*, Steve Wharmby 3-6 and Adnan Akhtar 3-18 all supplying the ammunition in the win over Beeston & Toton 98-10. Henry Horne 3-17 and Aaron Viggers 3-19 were the bowlers to assist in Keyworth 59-1 overpowering Fiskerton/Thurgarton 56-10. Ed Shepherd 4-16, Manav Sood 3-36 and then Roland Daniels with 41 saw Gedling & Sherwood 115-4 take maximum points with the win over Whatton & Aslockton 111-10. West Bridgford Legion 202-10 cemented their place at the top of the division with a comfortable win over Nott’s & Arnold 95-10 with 91 coming from the bat of Raj Shandillya.
