Above is a notice in the Nottingham Post from the family.

It is with great sadness that I report the death of our beloved Chairman David A Richards who died Sunday after a period of illness.

David has worked for cricket and the community for most of his life and will be a great loss.

The league, from every one of its member's, send their thanks to David and wishing his family comfort at this sad time. Details of his funeral will follow.

The committee would like the league to mark David's passing with a minutes silence before every match this weekend.

DCCL dual registration

Written by Dennis Wright. Posted in Committee Communications

DUAL REGISTRATION

Please note that Derbyshire CCL do not allow dual registration.
Therefore you are either SNCL registered to play Saturday's or for the DCCL.
This, we believe, is the only league in the country enforcing this rule.
If you wish to transfer to the DCCL then please be aware your SNCL registration must be removed or your transfer will not be accepted by Chris Higginbottom. We will not remove the SNCL registration without the player contacting the league to request it.

...

As the ECB request we make every effort to "Get the game on" we believe the above is against this spirit.
If a player wishes, due to their circumstances, play across borders for two club's in order to get a game, the SNCL will not stop them.

Of course, via the Notts CB any player, banned by any league, will not be allowed to register and play during that ban.
